José Martí: una biografía

1892. In Key West, where he founded the Cuban Revolutionary Party
Having renounced his consular posts in New York and suspended his contributions to foreign newspapers, Martí dedicated all his energies to the Cuban cause. He began his revolutionary work in Tampa an later traveled to Key West, where he appears in this photograph with members of the Committee that invited him; standing from left to right, Genaro Hernández, Serafín Bello, Aurelio Rodríguez, José Pompez, Frank Bolio and Francisco María González; seated, also from left to right, Gualterio García, Martí and Angel Peláez, chief of this group of tobacco workers and industrialists, owners and professionals.

1892. En Cayo Hueso, cuando fundó el Partido Revolucionario Cubano
Después de renunciar sus representaciones consulares en Nueva York, y de suspender sus trabajos en los periódicos, Martí se dispuso a dedicar todas su energías a la causa de Cuba. Inició su gestión revolucionaria en Tampa, y luego fue a Cayo Hueso.
